Management Team

In keeping with best practice governance processes, Amlib has an Executive Committee of senior managers which is responsible for overseeing the operational activities and development of the company and implementing the strategy set by the Board.

The Executive Committee ExCo is composed of heads of all business-critical departments within the Group and meets monthly.

Geoff Eyre, Chief Executive Officer

Geoff EyreGeoff is a Chartered Accountant becoming a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 1998. Geoff also graduated from Warwick University in 1995 with a first class degree in Electrical Engineer from and is a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology. Originally joining Amlib as Finance Director in 2008, Geoff was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2009 since which time he has led AmLib’s transformation into an efficient, effective exploration company and overseen the several convertible debt issues and equity capital raisings.

Geoff worked at Ferrexpo Plc prior to joining Amlib, playing an integral role in the first public listing of a Ukrainian company to the London stock exchange in 2007 raising US$340 million of equity for project expansion of the iron ore producer. Geoff spent more than ten years with Ernst and Young working in a range of roles in London, Frankfurt and their Global head office. In the last few years Geoff coordinated the London office’s resource sector listing transactions with gave him significant experience in the emerging market extractive industries sector.


Bill Brodie Good, Chief Operating Officer

Bill Brodie GoodBill has been exploring for minerals around the world for the last 20 years, mainly gold but also diamonds, uranium and iron ore. He has concentrated on exploration projects and has both installed, carried out and managed grass roots projects as well as taking on existing known anomalies and bringing them into resource status.

With a solid field grounding in outback Australia following graduation from the University of Western Australia in Geology in 1992 he started working in Africa and the middle east from 1999, for a combination of junior and senior companies (Semafo, Shield Mining, Bellzone, Rio Tinto) as well as accredited 3rd party consultants.

Combined with fluency in French Bill has over 10 years experience running exploration programs in challenging environments both geologically and politically and thrives on the achievement of bringing in new deposits.


Brian Gibson, Chief Financial Officer

Brian GibsonBrian joined Amlib as Chief Financial Officer in October 2011. A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales since 1994, Brian graduated in 1990 from Edinburgh University with an MA degree in Politics and Economic and Social History.

Prior to joining Amlib, Brian worked as Finance Director and Group Financial Controller of private equity backed companies with international operations. Brian also has fifteen years' experience in public practice acting in various audit and transactional roles for both public and private companies. Brian has also acted as reporting accountant in respect of IPOs and other public company transactions in London and Sydney.


Mike Bowles, Chief Geologist

Mike BowlesMike became a qualified geologist from Leeds University in I977, followed by an MSc in Exploration Geology at Rhodes University. He pursued his fascination with the mineral deposits of Africa over the next 15 working for the Economic Division of the Geological Survey in South Africa – rising to the position of Assistant Director.

Mike has worked on many exploration programmes throughout Africa, the middle east and central Asia. He worked for many years mainly on feasibility- study gold exploration programmes with a wide variety of companies. In Africa, Mike also worked on manganese and copper exploration programmes in Ghana and Zambia. Elsewhere in a contracting or consultative role he was involved in a feasibility study on the Angouran zinc/lead deposit in Iran, a structural study of a magnesite deposit in Saudia Arabia, a shear zone gold exploration programme in northern Kazakhstan, a feasibility study on a VMS Cu/Zn deposit in eastern Kazakhstan and a uranium drilling programme in Kyrgyzstan.

Mike maintains a strong interest in structural geology and has spent many years researching how it controls and modifies mainly hydrothermal mineral deposits such as shear zone-hosted gold deposits. He has been a fellow of the Geological Society for many years and is a member of SGA (Society for Geology Applied to Mineral Deposits.


Roosevelt Forh, Vice President Special Projects, Liberia

Roosevelt ForhRoosevelt joined AmLib in August 2007 after three years as an Auditor for Deloitte & Touche in Liberia. Mr. Forh also served as Chairman for the Accounting Department at the United Methodist University for two years. Mr. Forh is an associate member of the Liberian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (LICPA) and is part qualified with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He gained a master diploma in Accounting and Finance from the Graduate school of Management in Ghana in 2003 and a bachelor degree in accounting from the AME Zion University College in Liberia in 1999.


Carney Johnson, Head of Social and Corporate Responsibility

Carney JohnsonMr. Johnson leads Amlib’s Social and Corporate Responsibility function and oversees the community development projects the company undertakes as a critical component of exploration activities. Mr. Johnson is a graduate mining engineer trained in the USA, was formerly Deputy Minister of Lands and Mines in Liberia and has broad experience in the mining industry worldwide. He is the brother of the President of Liberia.
